WEEE Regulations

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

The WEEE regulations are a European Union Directive which state how WEEE items must be disposed of, and the rules affect everyone - businesses and consumers. Waste electronic equipment can no longer simply be disposed of via normal waste channels.

The WEEE symbol, left, is now required to be carried by all equipment affected by the regulations.

The rules detail how electronic equipment and components must be dealt with and includes recycling and separation before final disposal.

R&T Electronic Recycling LLP, being WEEE accredited, are qualified to carry out these operations.
